Chao Evolutions (1)
This is the first evolution in which your chao goes into a blue cocoon and comes out with drastic changes.
The time it takes for a chao to get to this stage of evolution varies.
I have discovered a fast and easy way to get your chao to evolve, raise it's stamina to approximately level 14. This way, you don't have to spend hours in the chao garden waiting for your chao to evolve.
Or, if you need to go somewhere, but want to get your chao to evolve, leave your Gamecube on while you're in the garden, and you can turn your television off. Just don't turn off your Gamecube system, and make sure you don't have the game paused.

Basically, when I want my baby chao to evolve quickly, I feed them lots of food. Anything that raises their stamina to... I think it's about lv. 14ish... They will soon go into their little blue cocoon and develop into their mature stage. The second stage evolution probably isn't what you expect at all! It is very gradual (slow) changes in their appearance. They don't go into a cocoon, you just need a sharp eye. You may see them get bigger wings, leaner or fatter bodies, or maybe their ear/antennae/etc will grow long and flowing! There's tons of different combinations! All you do is, give them plenty (like about at least fifteen) of the chaos drives/animals in the specified color to see them slowly take their form.
Formulas
I have a lot, and I mean a LOT of chao. To keep them organized, I sometimes use what I call "chao formulas". For example, I named one of my chao N:G:G. Do you know what that stands for? Neutral, green, green. I see that as directions for making a Sonic chao. I need to give him green chaos drives/animals, then evolve him as a neutral chao, and give him green chaos drives/animals for his 2nd evolution. Just thought I would share this little tip with you!
