Chao Gardens in Sonic Adventure 2: Battle

^Hero Garden^

This garden appears after you have successfully raised a hero chao with a hero character. There will be a lovely set of stairs leading up to it in the Chao World main hub.

This garden- with its heavenly music, idyllic stone structures, and fountain centerpiece- is tailor-made for hero chao, although any chao may enter.

Nestled high among the clouds, this garden feels like a shelter from the world below; why not win a couple of toys and make your chao feel even more at home? *wink*

Prize items: Ball/Rocking horse

~(Neutral) Chao Garden~

This is the initial garden available to you the first time you enter Chao World; the other two must be unlocked.

All chao are welcome in this garden, and it is very inviting, with a wide open space, pond-like lake, cascading waterfall, and fruit-bearing palm trees that all your chao will enjoy!

This is the only garden that features a gateway to Chao Stadium, where you and your chao may participate in races and karate match-ups. Master the challenge races, and win your chao a few playthings! If they've made friends, you may even see them playing in groups!

Here you'll find 2 chao eggs that hatch into neutral chao; after that, your actions will determine who stays neutral, who grows up dark, and who grows up a hero!

Prize items: Ball/Jack-in-the-Box/TV

*Dark Chao Garden*

This garden is accessible after a dark chao has been raised. A set of stairs will appear in the Chao World central hub spiraling downward.

Every day is Halloween here! Any chao can come in, but the blood red pool might not appeal to your more squeamish chao! This grey, hellish playground has a much different look than the other gardens, and besides the presence of trees there is very little to remind you of the cheerfulness from those two.

Dig around and you might find a skull mask for your chao to wear!
